Sitting on a beach in Mexico is an appealing proposition – especially now summer in the UK looks well and truly over.
And soaking up the sun while supping a strong cocktail is as far as some of you will get when it comes to making concrete plans, but if you are thinking of taking a holiday in Mexico you should bear in mind that there is a lot going on in this exciting country.
Really, it depends on the kind of person you are, but if you want to come back from holiday with loads of tall tales to impress your mates with down the pub, you won’t be far from adventure when you’re in Mexico.
mexico offers more than just margaritas
The first thing that springs to mind for us is scuba diving and whale watching. And the beautiful thing about the latter is it usually starts and finishes on the beach.
And Isla Holbox is as good a place as any to start (well actually it’s one of the best), offering a chance to catch a glimpse of the world’s largest fish (the whale shark).
