Mexico has had a rough time of it lately, what with the global economic downturn and natural disasters hammering its tourism sector particularly hard.
But it takes a lot to keep the Mexicans down, and with the exceptional history and culture they have to offer, it’s unlikely they will be struggling for long.
So before the tourists start heading to Mexico in their droves because prices are falling through the floor, we recommend heading over there now and making the most of the deserted beaches.

And let’s not forget, it’s not just the beaches that should convince you that a holiday in Mexico is a brilliant idea. There’s the history, archaeology, festivals, food (how can we live without fresh jalapenos, the pickled ones from Tesco just don’t cut it) and wildlife.
Mexico, over any other destination in the world, is the place to be at this very moment, and the biggest events in the country’s calendar – like the Day of the Dead – are yet to come.
