It has the highest density of native wildlife of any country on the planet, meaning safaris and jungle trekking are in, and the beaches are some of the finest you could ever hope to set foot on. The kind where you can run for cover under a canopy of palm leaves if the midday sun gets too hot.

What’s more the surfing is pretty spectacular and plenty of Costa Rica’s coast is protected from the full force of the North Atlantic by Cuba and Puerto Rica, so it’s also a great place for the less experienced boarders amongst you.
Basically Costa Rica is a paradise virtually untouched by tourists and a tailored trip there can involve as much or as little adventure as you want. So you don’t have to spend your entire time there soaking up the sun – unless that’s what you want of course.
