the medina pool
location
Near the edge of Marrakech’s medina, down a narrow street, La Maison Arabe is just a minute’s walk from where a taxi can drop you off. Being a two-minute walk from the souks means you’re perfectly located for that all-important souk shopping too. The medina pool sits in the middle of the hotel and is relatively shaded, but there is also a bigger pool which guests can visit for free, set in lush gardens just 15 minutes’ drive away.

Every room is different and all are decorated with local art and rugs for an authentic feel. Chose a pool-view room to overlook the riad’s hub, or a three-storey suite finished with red carpets and authentic Moroccan art for a more lavish experience.

The en-suite bathrooms are stocked with natural products made from local ingredients such as apricot and orange, and each room is supplied with bottled water and dried fruit every day.
why we like it
The spacious spa with the soothing sounds of trickling fountains, the central courtyard, welcoming bar and two restaurants, the spotless service and atmospheric lighting make this our favourite bolt hole in central Marrakech. The staff are ultra-helpful and constantly smiling, the food is top quality and you can eat or visit the spa whenever you chose – time is never a problem here.
