The biting cold and rain that go hand-in-hand with any good British winter has arrived. And the situation looks like it might get worse – or at least colder.
So before winter really sets in it might be an idea to plan your next luxury trip abroad (or even better get us to do it for you), and we’d like to suggest Sri Lanka because there’s no better remedy to British winter than travelling to somewhere warm, exotic and most importantly – adventurous.
Whether you want a week idling by the coast, eating the finest seafood and snorkelling along some of the world’s most incredible beaches, or to spend some time trekking through tropical mountainside rain forests, Sri Lanka has it all. And we know it so well that we can make sure you see as much of it as possible regardless of how much time you have.

There are a few places that stand out for us, like Sigirya Rock, a Unesco World Heritage Site on a par with Uluru, the Buddhist caves of Polonnaruwa and the unbeatable luxury of Tangalle, a fishing village on the south coast.
