Take some time out to parade down Orchard Road, a shopaholic’s paradise, where glitzy malls line the strip and you can get lost for hours in designer boutiques. Let your credit cards cool off for a while and stop off for a Singaporean treat, an ice-cream sandwich, sold from mobile karts located at every pedestrian crossing. But there’s much more to do in Singapore than just shop. Swing by the Red Dot Museum, a cool design institute showcasing winners of the prestigious Red Dot Design award. Enjoy sunset drink on the 70th floor at the New Asia bar before strolling down by the river at Clarke Quay where culinary delights such as chilli crab are at your fingertips. If you’re visiting in September, make sure not to miss the annual Grand Prix street race the cars will ripple through the city and under the hotel.
Get out and explore culture-rich China Town and Little India before burning some cash at Orchard Road’s fashion emporiums. In the evenings, take your pick of cuisine whilst strolling along Clarke Quay before dancing till sunrise at Singapore’s Ministry of Sound. For a quiet night, enjoy sunset drinks at New Asia Bar before something completely unique, a night safari in Singapore’s world-class zoo. If you’re around in September you’ll be able to catch the Formula One Grand Prix and you’ll be perfectly situated since the cars run under the hotel.
