location
Set in the heart of the city, the hotel is an easy walk to restaurants, theatres, the world famous Stanley Park, and a block from the renowned shopping district of Robson Street. A 30 minute drive from Vancouver Airport, the Shangri-La is also accessible by the city’s SkyTrain in just 17 minutes.
your room
The Shangri-La Vancouver consists of 119 luxurious guestrooms and suites all decorated in a contemporary style with distinct Asian touches. Warm latte tones are enriched by golden hues and offset by darker wood panelling and sleek chocolate-coloured furniture. Floor to ceiling windows allow every room to fill with natural light.
When it comes to technology, they have everything covered. Rooms are equipped with state of the art entertainment centres, including a 420 inch flat screen TV, an iPod docking station, a hands free phone for complimentary local calls and free broadband internet access. The white marble bathrooms are renowned for being the largest in Vancouver, featuring a walk-in shower with three separate showerheads (no less), and a
television embedded within the mirror.
why we like it
The Shangri-La has done it again and impressed us with its legendary hospitality. We love the amount of attention paid to the small details.
Bathrooms are kitted out with L’Occitane products and on arrival, you’ll find on your pillow a copy of Lost Horizons: the 1930′s novel which relates to the discovery of a Shangri-La utopian society in the Himalayas. With stunning views and spacious rooms, this hotel is not to be missed.
