The hunt is on for Auckland’s new Super City logo allowing every Aucklander the chance to put their mark on the new Super City
The decision to allow the public to submit their design for the Super City’s logo has come after the failures of New Zealand’s past logos such as Auckalnd’s City Council’s wavy ‘A’ and Telecom’s scribble logo.
The logo needs to be as simply and as easily recognisable as New York’s ‘I NY’ or London’s underground symbol. On top of that, the design will also have to sum up all five cities – Auckland, North Shore, Manukau, Waitakere and Rodney in a compelling and elegant way.
Contestants entering the competition are asked to think ‘out side the box’ and not just simply submit a design of the Harbour bridge or the Sky Tower. The creative designer who impresses the judges will win a £10,000 prize package and an instant super city celebrity status. What you waiting for? Get drawing!
