Comparison websites have largely missed out on the finer things in life, preferring to concentrate on car insurance rather than the more important stuff such as what bottle of wine you should be drinking. There’s nothing more frustrating than thinking you’ve bagged the ultimate bargain at one store when it’s the fraction of the price in another. As with other price comparison websites, you type in the wine you’re looking for, either in this country or further afield, and it whizzes through all the wine stocks to bring to you the best deal around. The site can definitely help cut the price when purchasing wine for everyday drinking, but it can really save you dollars when you’re looking to purchase the expensive stuff.
But apart from saving the pennies the site is great for tracking down wines, from something you’ve been inspired to buy after trying it in a restaurant, to sourcing wines for birth years or simply to stock the cellar.
