A fragrant event for the whole family, the annual Mountain Cheese Olympics hits Saignelehier and neighbouring Bellelay and Tramelan this October.
For the cheese fans of today and tomorrow, join the circus of over 800 cheeses from around the world all battling it out to impress the 100-strong judging panel and win gold. Featuring cheeses from Switzerland to Japan, and Mexico to Australia, this is the cheese highlight of the culinary calendar. The sheer number and diversity of cheese is astonishing where not only can you taste it, but watch it being made, and even give a hand in the process yourself. There’s even a seminar on cheese and donkey carts to jump aboard and enjoy a lunch of, well, cheese.
And for the cheesed-out, there’s music, arts and crafts, tractor competitions, markets and more. Bon appetite.
