Auberge de Montagne des Chic Chocs was the first mountain lodge to open in Eastern Canada, and it is just as superb as it always has been.  Found at the heart of an immense and virtually untouched natural territory, the décor is a true reflection of Québec’s francophone culture, and wonderfully warming in comparison to the crisp outdoors.  Think oak panelling, roaring fireplaces and candlelit balconies.  An idyllic retreat, Chic Chocs promises you an unforgettable experience.

Chic Chocs is perched 615 metres up in the heart of Reserve faunique de Montane.  It’s simply awe-inspiring; a skier’s paradise in winter, and a hiker’s haven in summer.  The landscape appears endless, all framed with rolling hills, cascading waterfalls and large, sparkling lakes.  From dense forest to tundra, the numerous trails on offer cut through a variety of mountain landscapes that are truly spectacular.

Imagine delicious comfort in the heart of nature. With a maximum of 35 guests, it’s intimate and cosy here, with marvellous lodges to camp out in.  Each room is equipped with a king-sized bed adorned with crisp white linen and warm patchwork quilts, an en suite with all the little luxuries you need, and large French windows to capture the stunning view.

why we like it

The concept of Chic Choc is to bring pure comfort amongst an untamed natural environment – and it does just that.  There’s a great spa, and gourmet dining is even possible at such great heights too.  The banquet room is magnificent, and with guests dining together at large tables, Chic Chocs invites discussion amongst its visitors.  Peacefulness reigns, but this is where tranquillity, pleasure and well-being aren’t far off too.
