Zion Lodge

In the surrounds of 2000 foot canyon walls, with enchanting wisps of mist circling the peaks, Zion Lodge acts as the perfect place to retreat and get back to nature. Staying true to its roots (the lodge was first built in the 1920’s) Zion retains its classic rustic style, which carefully fit with the striking monolithic setting to create an overall sense of tranquillity. The cluster of cosy cabins, suites and rooms in the main lodge, act as the perfect base to explore your surroundings, and provide a welcoming place to rest your head after a day out at the canyons.

Location

Set in a natural amphitheatre within the epic surrounds of Zion National Park lies the suitably rustic Zion Lodge. Existing as the only ‘in-park’ lodgings inside the majestic park results in a landscape that is completely secluded and uncluttered, leaving the 146,000 acres of towering cliffs, red-tinged canyons and enchanting waterfalls to take centre stage. With Zion Lodge’s only neighbour being that of a bordering small town called Springdale, means staying here is an authentic, ruggedly beautiful escape from reality.

Your Room

Scattered amongst the trees, with the red-hued cliffs protectively looking down on you, the cabins at Zion Lodge manage to seamlessly blend with their natural surroundings, with camouflaged slatted roofs and red-bricked façades. Inside, expect simply furnished yet comfortable rooms – think sink-in beds and cosy fireplaces, and in a nod to the rustic wilderness outside, exposed brickwork is used to suggest an element of outside-in. An added bonus of a cabin stay is the close proximity you will have to the sprawling National Park beyond, simply walk out onto your private porch and you are in the wilds – surely the perfect starting point for some explorative adventures.

Why we like it

Its enticing mix of simple luxury and epic surroundings plays to our escape-from-the-city fantasies. Set right in the heart of this ancient National Park, Zion Lodge is well placed to satisfy any level of explorer – whether you want to travel by foot on one of the nearby trails (we suggest the paved Pa’rus Trail for those who like their walks easy on the eye as well as the feet), or get a little more intrepid and try to scale the awe-inspiring Zion Canyon.
