Laguna Condor

The remote Patagonian wilderness takes centre stage here at Laguna Condor – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.  The wild beauty of this region is unbeatable and the eight intimate cabins offer everything you could possibly need as a base to navigate this little-explored area. Think quiet log cabins tucked away in the woods, a sunken hot tub overlooking the breathtaking scenery of Cerro Fitz Roy, and visits from the resident llamas – it’s nature at its finest.

Location

Perched on the west bank of the Rio de la Vueltas, the idyllic Laguna Condor can be reached in just 40 minutes via a private transfer from the nearby town of El-Chalten. Spend your days trekking, biking and kayaking to your heart’s content, visiting the famous Torres del Paine mountain range or the Tierra del Fuego region – both within easy reach of your base at Laguna Condor.

Your Room

Combining the rugged beauty of this remote region with all the facilities of a luxury camp, Laguna Condor has everything you need to explore the surrounding Patagonian region in complete comfort. The eight wilderness cabins each come complete with twin or double beds, a firewood stove to keep you warm and toasty and a private deck to admire the mystical views. Kick back and relax in total privacy, enjoying the surrounding peace and quiet and feeling at one with nature.

Why We Like It

With numerous combinations of activities and expeditions on offer, this is the perfect base for adrenaline-fuelled adventure in this awe-inspiring corner of Patagonia. But Laguna Condor also caters for those quieter moments, allowing you to take in all the gorgeous scenery as you soak in the hot tub or curl up by the fire. We loved the camp’s central dining room, surrounded by the warmth of its beautiful timber and sensational views of Mount Fitzroy. Enjoy this view with a candlelight dinner prepared by the in-house executive chef, whilst planning which adventure to tackle next.
