noosa paradise

Your first port of call is the Sunshine Coast, where you’ll collect your wheels for the duration of your trip. Hit the road for a beautiful drive soaking up the sun and the coastal scenery. Trust us, these roads were built for leisurely cruising. For the next two nights you’ll be shacking up beach-side at the elegant Sebal Noosa Resort surrounded by sugar white beaches. Once you’ve had your beach blanket fix, it’s time to pull yourself away from the beach and head up-stream. For those wanting to explore the blissful nature of Southern Queensland, make your way to Noosa’s National Park. Grab a kayak and paddle your way through the sub-tropical jungle, listening to the sounds of the jungle as you glide peacefully along. For more spectacular scenery head to Glass House Mountains where you can view South Queensland in a different light. These steep-sided volcanic plugs dominate the landscape of the sunshine coast, and make for the perfect setting for a bush walk coupled with a picnic brimming with the region’s finest fodder.

island life

No trip to South Queensland would be complete without a visit to Fraser Island. But we’re going to put your driving skills to the test and get your heart pumping as you traverse the largest sand island in the world. These ancient dunes, once resembling a desert, have been transformed into a tropical jungle paradise intersected by tranquil streams and magnificent crystal clear lakes. A truly unique natural destination, no wonder it’s been listed as a world heritage site. Race along the expansive sands of Seventy Mile Beach by 4X4, an exhilarating experience as the amazing scenery whizzes by. Stop off for a few nights in Hervey bay, a hot spot for watching whales frolicking in the ocean and relaxing in some of the islands most luxurious boltholes, such as the Pepper Pier Resort or Akama Resort. Head to the pristine shores of Lake Mckenzie for a refreshing dip followed by a private gourmet BBQ of true Aussie proportions. And if you can’t bear to tear yourself away from Fraser island, then why not spend the night at the luxury holiday favourite Kingfisher Bay Resort.

hinterland haven

Next it’s time to head into the Hinterlands to discover the beauty and tranquillity of the town of Montville. Hole up in the Spicers Clovelly Estate – set in nine hectares of serene countryside, it’s perfect for lazy days soaking up the sun. A region packed with local family run wineries, we’ll get you on the roads (with a driver of course) to wile away the day sampling zesty whites and full-bodied reds. For a refreshing break from all that tipple, make a splash at Kondalilla National Park. Named after the Aboriginal word meaning ‘rushing waters’, Kondalilla is home to the picturesque Kondailla Falls and secret plunge pools with water so clean you can drink from it.

Bidding a fond farewell to the countryside it’s time to head to the city for a night in the vibrant hub of Brisbane. We’ll let you in on the best spots to catch the sun set over the river, before heading to one of the city’s hippest eateries for a delicious Queensland feast, savouring the memories of your Aussie adventure.
