The Reefs is a family run hotel and one of the older establishments on the island. It perfectly combines old island charm with laid back luxury and will make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
The hotel is set into the limestone cliffs to the south of the island, between Hamilton and Hog Bay. Look out across the turquoise waters and over the private pink sandy beach and you’ll realise why Bermuda is often referred to as the ‘jewel of the Atlantic’.
Suites are rustic and charming, with lots of hard wood and locally created art works. Many overlook the expansive ocean below and private terraces and gardens are available too. We loved taking a dip in the hot tub as we gazed out to the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse.
Why we like it
The boutique atmosphere of The Reefs and the more secluded location of this hotel makes it feel like you are visiting friends or relatives, far from a hectic and busy resort, you will find yourself totally unwinding here, in true island elegance.
