Built way back in 1572, the historic Hacienda del Buen Suceso lies hidden amongst banana plantations and extensive grounds, giving this luxury retreat an undeniable rustic charm.
La Hacienda’s location strikes the perfect balance between the excitement and buzz of nearby Las Palmas and the serenity of the historic town of Arucas. Should you want to explore the southern dunes (which we really think you should) you’re merely forty five minutes away whilst right next door to your abode you’ll find the Botanic Garden of Los Jardines de la Marquesa where you can enjoy a walk through a vast jungle of breathtaking flora.
The charm of La Hacienda lends itself to eighteen completely unique rooms. With original features such as exposed beam and brick work, sloping ceilings, attics and even canopy beds you’ll soon find yourself living the life of a colonial Marquesado. The fresh white decor and wrought iron beds will ensure you come back to a cooling oasis after a hard day soaking up the sun and should you require anything more the charming staff will be more than happy to accommodate.
Why We Like It
Whether it’s lounging on a wicker sofa under a leafy tree, unwinding in a Turkish bath under the great arches of the hacienda or devouring an authentic dinner in the old tool shed (which now serves as the restaurant) we are sure the uniqueness of this ancient farm will captivate you as much as it did us.
