Colombia

Salsa Vibes

Seeing as its Friday, we figured a brief intro to Colombia’s Salsa scene might get you in the mood for the weekend. A little more exotic than the alcohol fuelled dad-dancing at your local bar, spend a Friday in Colombia and you’ll discover what it truly takes to hit the dancefloor, Latin American style.

Galeria Cafe Libro in Bogota is a place where there is no room for shyness. Our favourite spot to try out our footwork; step through the ambient lit porch and you’ll enter a world of Salsa expressionism. Watch as locals and travellers alike show off their individual salsa style beneath the beaming lanterns. The friendly vibes here will no doubt get you moving and in the salsa mood, but if that doesn’t – the exotic cocktails will.

Don’t panic all two left feeters amongst you – if you’d rather just watch the talented locals take to the floor, you can still enjoy the thrilling atmosphere with a cocktail in hand. Take a seat on the terrace with an ice cold Mojito and let the rhythm of the live bands get the party started. What’s more, happy hour here is 4-8pm every day.

We’ll have one flight to Bogota please.
