Location

Despite being secluded in the hills of Geta at the most northerly tip of Åland, HavsVidden is surprisingly easy to reach. Sail down from various Scandi seaports or board a super short flight from Stockholm or Helsinki into Mariehamn, where you’ll be driven a scenic 45 minutes up to HavsVidden, just off the Havsviddsvägen trail. A helicopter service also runs directly from Stockholm to the hotel, which we are happy to arrange. Bursting with open-air activities both on and offshore, HavsVidden is prepared for everything from incredible wreck-diving to unforgettable wildlife and nature experiences.

Boasting an array of elegant rooms sprinkled over HavsVidden’s exclusive 2.3-mile coastline, each with their own unique twist and equipped with all mod cons, you’ll cosy up in complete, first-class comfort. Oak interiors, complimented with neutral colours and huge windows stretching from floor to ceiling, you’ll naturally soak up the stunning Scandi scenery straight from your bed, or better still, your Jacuzzi. Suite houses even have a sea-view sauna, so sweat away the toxins whilst gazing out at the sun’s colourful hue tones flickering over the Baltic.

Away from the outdoor adventures, HavsVidden is a Nordic hideaway aimed at relaxation and refreshment and prides itself on its spa. Book into the Smoke Sauna or the Pool House, or simply enjoy an invigorating massage – we loved the authentic HavsVidden Energy massage. The hotel restaurant is also equally impressive, serving a delicious assortment of fresh Scandinavian dishes, locally sourced from around the region.
