Four Seasons Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat

Perched proudly on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula amongst a forest of pine trees, Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is a veritable icon of the Cote d’Azur. An opulent 74 room palace hotel that exudes classic French glamour, it’s easily one of the chicest spots to rest your head on the Riviera. Wander its perfectly manicured gardens and dine at its Michelin starred restaurant and discover a true sense of ‘la vie est belle’.

Location

Less than an hour from three of France’s most sophisticated cities; Nice, Cannes and Monaco and just 30 minutes from the International Airport at Nice, Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat truly does boast a most enviable location. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is an area of unspoilt natural beauty with exquisite views of the Mediterranean at every turn – no wonder Hollywood icons past and present have been unable to stay away. Be sure to visit and dine at the beautiful Villa Santo Sospir whilst here, where the walls have been adorned with murals and mosaics by Jean Cocteau.

Your room

There are 74 rooms at Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat including 24 suites and villas, each artfully designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. A neutral colour scheme and splashes of gleaming marble allow the azure waters that lie beyond your window to truly shine. Add to this colourful artworks and you’ve arrived into a temple of luxury. Each room is beautiful – but our favourites have to be those with private pools and terraces that overlook the green of the pine grove and the dazzling blue of the Mediterranean.

Why we like it

Our ideal day at Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat? Leave the hotel in the morning and step into a glass funicular that will whisk you down the hillside to the exclusive Club Dauphin. Here, a laid-back pool grill restaurant, heated seawater infinity pool, sun terraces, private cabanas and a French boutique are all on hand to entertain you. Come evening, indulge in Michelin starred cuisine at Le Cap, or for something a touch more private, Michelin starred chef Yoric Tièche is on hand to prepare a meal for you to enjoy in the privacy of Villa Santo Sospir or under the stars after a night of star gazing with an astronomer. A place of legend and timeless luxury, Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is simply flawless.
