This prestigious hotel steeped in authentic charm is the perfect destination for all you culture junkies out there. A stone’s throw away from a myriad of archaeological and cultural treasures, such as Mdina’s medieval ‘silent city’, the Corinthia hotel transports you to the heart of Maltese culture and history. This secluded bolthole has it all, from one of a kind steam gardens, to its Athenaeum spa and fitness centre, we can’t think of a better place to soak up the Maltese sunshine.
Located smack bang in the centre of Malta, the Corinthia Hotel is the ideal hot-spot for exploring this beautiful island. For those keen to keep their finger on the pulse, this oasis is only a short drive from Malta’s capital, Valletta, and Sliema’s amazing shopping centre. However, nestled amongst lush gardens and prehistoric structures, its also the perfect place to escape, relax and unwind.
If you’ve ever dreamt of being waited on hand a foot (and let’s face it who hasn’t), you’ll love Corinthia’s personal butler service. Whatever you need, your wish is their command. Delicious (and complimentary) cocktail in hand, take some time to soak up your surroundings before heading to your private suite. Timeless and elegant with a refreshing modern flare we can’t think of a better place to rest your weary head after a day exploring the city. Awake to the glorious Maltese sunshine streaming through the glass doors that open out onto your private balcony, from where you can survey your own slice of paradise.
WHY WE LIKE IT
The way to our heart is truly through our stomach and the hotel’s exquisite cuisine really sets it apart as one of Malta’s top hotels. From their Far Eastern menu at the Rickshaw restaurant to the more informal Italian inspired Pizza, Pasta & Co. nestled in the hotel’s lush gardens there is a flavoursome experience to suit everyone. But our favourite has to be the elegant Villa Corinthia which, aside from a gorgeous dessert appropriately titled the Chocaholic, serves a quintessential British afternoon tea every Sunday. A nice cuppa in the Maltese sun: absolute bliss.
