The adventure begins with a stay in Kathmandu to see the sights, such as, the temples and palaces around Durbar Square and taste the awesome cuisine. You’ll be continuing to Pokhara to begin the second phase of you trip and then onward to the Lower Kali Gandaki. These first few days will give you a good insight into the people and the Nepalese culture, as well as accclimatizing before your river adventure takes off.

Pokhara trekking

With an epic backdrop of lakes reflecting the might of the Himalayas in the distance, Pokhara is the perfect setting for the starting point of your trek. The next few days will take you on a spectacular journey around this region before you take to the waters. You’ll enjoy some of the most dramatic views of the Himalayas. Throughout the trek you’ll stay in traditional tea houses and pass through the beautiful Modi River Valley, with lush valley walls and waterfalls with deep pools

At the end of the trek you’ll begin the next stage of adventure in the wilderness. Starting at Ramdi, you’ll raft through challenging rapids in some of the most beautiful and isolated stretches of river on Earth. At night you’ll make camp on untouched shores of the river. The expedition guides will be on hand to teach and develop your rafting skills throughout the journey. This will ensure you are fully prepared for negotiating high grade rapids that will both intimidate and inspire you.

Having not come across another living soul for days you will have to tear yourself away from the river and head to the Chitwan National Park. With some of the richest flora and fauna in the region, as well as being one of the oldest National Parks in Nepal, it’s a delight to explore and the perfect ending to your sensational trip.
