Location

From cosy casitas, sumptuous suites and royal villa retreats, the Inkaterra Machu Picchu elegantly showcases an authentic, Andean style with terracotta-tiled roofs built by local artisans. Interiors exude a truly tranquil and relaxed feel amidst this jungle gem and are embellished with typical Peruvian and colonial features, such as the traditionally bright alpaca-wool blankets for those colder winter nights. Why we like it
Our highlight is the hotel’s Inca Trail tour as you take an enthralling step back over 500 years through Machu Picchu. We also love the Orchid Trail as the region plays host to the largest private collection of orchids worldwide, as well as the excursion to see the rare South American Spectacled bear. Return to the glass-walled Dining Room for delicious Andean culinary delights, whilst overlooking the Urubamba River.
