Daluyon has the advantage of being both a short stroll from the sheltered sands of Sabang Beach as well as the world-renowned Underground River National Park. Winding its way through limestone caves and surrounded by deep mangrove forests, the river itself is home to countless species endemic to the Palawan province and makes for a pretty impressive setting. Due to its incredible location, Daluyon is fully committed to eco-friendly tourism and its 16 beachfront rooms have all been integrated into their surroundings with minimal environmental impact.
Set just a couple of steps from Sabang Beach on Palawan’s northern coast, Daluyon offers a real escape from city life. This area is all about being surrounded by natural beauty, whether that be waking up to stunning sea views across the deserted beach, or exploring the vast unspoilt forests and pristine bays around the National Park.
Daluyon’s small selection of thatch-roof villas all come with comfy king size beds, spacious living areas and private verandas that lead out onto the beach. Some of the larger villas offer a choice of ground or first floor rooms and feature large balconies where you can sit and enjoy fantastic elevated ocean views.
Why we like it
Any holiday where you get to experience both paradisiacal island beaches and areas of such outstanding natural beauty has got to be pretty high up on our agenda. Take a guided tour deep into the mangrove forests on a paddleboat or set off for the river at dusk to watch thousands of bats fly from the caves in search of food. Or alternatively, set yourself up in a hammock on the beach and stay there all day.
