It was studying languages that first sparked an interest in travel for me and gave me a desire to visit the places that I was learning about in the classroom. I made numerous trips to France and Italy with family and friends, and eventually moved to Rome in 2016 – one of the most exciting and inspiring times of my life. I loved observing the obvious passion that Italians had for their own culture, and the way that this was expressed, particularly through food. I believe the notion of ‘travel’ goes much further than just going on holiday: travel is the exploration of a different culture and people, and immersing oneself in a completely new world. What could be more exciting?
