Landscaped gardens, lakes and a pair of 100-year-old trees makes Le Méridien a must-visit hotel for us. You’ll find a range of acivities inside the grounds, from luxurious spa treatments to refreshing swims in the pool. Outside, it ‘s equally as impressive, with visits to ancient temples and boat rides along the Mae Kok river. The nearby soaring mountain scenery helps a little bit, too. After a day exploring the wonders of the Chiang Rai region, drop back into your spacious Grand Suite for the perfect end to your experience.
Le Méridien is perched on the outskirts of Chiang Rai, the northernmost city of Thailand. The idyllic resort itself then sits on the banks of the Mae Kok, minutes away from the city centre. Just an hour’s drive away Thailand, Laos and Burma converge to form the Golden Triangle. Even if you don’t plan to dip into these other countries there’s more than enough to occupy you during your stay, within this spectacular mountain region.
Elegant design becomes the norm as soon as you step into Le Méridien Resort and your room isn’t any different. Combining beauty and convenience, the rooms are laid out to give you as much space as possible. With an expansive bathroom, and some truly VIP ammenties to match, you won’t go wanting during your stay.
Why We Like it
The luxury resort is spectacular enough in it’s own right, finding space and serenity in the midst of some breathtaking scenery and a bustling city. We love the staffs’ pleasant interest in your day to day activities, giving this hotel a personal touch that other resorts of this size can miss out on. The dining in the hotel is spectacular also, with a first-rate Thai restaurant and a range of other options if you’re not feeling quite so adventurous.
