Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai

They don’t call it the Rose of the North for nothing. Set in the stunning area of Chiang Mai, the Four Seasons is a timeless classic which will satisfy your thirst for luxury and relaxation. The beauty and spirit of Northern Thailand envelops you with 99 rooms set overlooking the sprawling paddy fields and tropical gardens of the mystical Mae Rim Valley. Spend your days admiring traditional temples, exploring the Chiang Dao caves or just enjoying the calm serenity of this luxury bolthole – perhaps with a spot of traditional rice planting with Tong the resident water buffalo. The talented resort chefs will even teach you how to whip up a tasty Pad Thai in time for your next dinner party.

Location

The Mae Rim Valley, often referred to as the Lanna Kingdom meaning ‘land of a million rice fields’, is home to Chiang Mai, a city known for its beauty and spirit. Set amongst these lush green rice paddies, this beautiful resort is only a short 30-minute hop from nearby Chiang Mai airport. The resort also provides a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the city where you can visit the famous Night Market or take a stroll down Sankamphaeng Road, or ‘Handicraft Highway’. For the best view of the ancient city, wake up early and climb the 309 steps to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple to see beautiful panoramic views of the city at sunrise.

Your room

Elegant and luxurious, charming and detailed, the 99 pavilions and villas at Four Seasons Chiang Mai are complete with Thai decorations and Siamese artwork meaning you can be completely submerged in the Thai culture whilst being surrounded by complete luxury. Crafted from teak and tropical rosewood, each room has a calming and authentic feel – yet in keeping with the chic luxury you love and crave. We absolutely love the pool villas, with their gorgeous garden views from the private pool and outdoor showers.

Why we like it

Dining at the Four Seasons is not just your average dinner, it’s an experience. Choose between many a location at this awe-inspiring haven. Wake up to breakfast in the rice paddies, the perfect way to start your day, and to end it on an equally high standard, dine in the private rice barn. Be sure to make a wish as you release your own Krathong (traditional banana leaf boat) onto the pond.
