For the last five years, everyone has always been excited to see Alex’s photos after he has been on his travels. Finding his passion in 2011 he bought himself his first SLR camera and a one-way ticket to Costa Rica. He spent a year travelling south through Panama all the way to Chile, documenting his trip along the way.
Alex has been practicing and wowing us ever since. Watch the slideshow and read in Alex’s own words about some of his favourite photos.
Here we watched and took photos as two herds of elephants met and greeted each other with a song and dance on the dried riverbed in Amboseli National Park.
This shot was taken in the Crystal Caves. Famous as the inspiration for the Fraggle Rock series co-created by a Bermudian native.
A cold morning by Moraine Lake in Banff – we arrived early and managed to capture the moment the sun breached the mountain peaks.
This photo was taken in a 4th century rock-hewn church in Wukro – the priest was completely uninterested in us and went on his usual business allowing for the perfect candid shot.
I was in search of a more peaceful spot in the hectic medina and managed to find a few streets off the main arteries for some great pictures.
The waves were crashing in Foz, a short distance from central Porto – with the setting sun, it was a great opportunity to set up a long exposure.
