You are never far from a culinary masterpiece in Bermuda, and it’s worth noting that some of the island’s finest offerings are served at restaurants of the various hotels. From Asian to Italian there’s a huge range of flavours to be sampled, and we’ve chosen some of our favourites to get your tastebuds tingling.
The Waterlot Inn
The Waterlot is one of the oldest eateries in Bermuda – 350 years old – and it still has some of the qualities of an old-fashioned chop house. Despite its age, the dining room and the menu have been updated and you can expect the choice of just about any cut of steak along with some of finest local sea food.
This Italian restaurant is famed across the island and is cosy, charming and utterly fabulous. Like most of the finer restaurants in Bermuda, the clientele are smart and the staff are friendly. We just couldn’t resist their tuna tartare and could eat the spaghetti vongole all day long.
Harry’s at the waterfront
Harry’s bar is an institution in Hamilton. Its elegant dining room and sophisticated menu make for a constantly buzzing restaurant. The bar has an extensive cocktail list, and it would be mad not to try Harry’s own rum.
Just above Little Venice is L’Oriental, an Asian-fusion restaurant that is low key but serves food to match the rest. Food here comes with a show, and whether at the Teppan Yaki table or the Sushi Bar you can meet your chef all in the comfort of the very Zen surroundings.
Le Beau Rivage
French chef Jean Claude Garzia is world renowned, and his Bermudan offering certainly will not disappoint. Ten minutes out of Hamilton and located right on the waterfront, this restaurant is very chic. We recommend you enjoy the ocean breeze whilst dining on their beef carpaccio and crab tempura.
