The where, what and when of 2020

Over the course of the next few months, we’ll be releasing new sections of The Agenda.

This is the second year we’ve collated all our expertise, thoughts and feelings on what travel in 2020 will be like. It’s where we take the pulse of the world’s hottest travel trends and offer our forecast for the year ahead. There’s a method to our movements, and this digital series lets you peek behind the curtain of the world’s most up-and-coming destinations and experiences with new twists on old and familiar favourites. Week by week, over the next couple of months all will be revealed.

After all, a lot goes into each of our trips, as you’ll see with our year in numbers below; from research and development to getting hands-on with the actual experiences we curate. We want you to feel informed and inspired about where to travel over the next twelve months.

2019 has been a big year for the world. It’s been a big year for Black Tomato too. We’ve devised new services that push the frontiers of experiential travel (say hi, Bring it Back), created our greatest competition to date for one ultimate year of travel. We’ve opened up entirely new destinations (from Antarctica to Israel). We’ve watched an eclipse from the rarified heights of a Chilean salt flat, and have cracked open antique bottles of mezcal among the bars of Mexico’s De Efe. Throughout, we’ve made connections with real people in real places. This is what makes us different; and it’s what makes our trips different too.

Let’s start with a recap, this is our year (well, some of it)
