The new Hard Rock Hotel in Playa d’en Bossa, Ibiza, is set to open the world’s most expensive restaurant in the world next month, Sublimotion, with the official opening on the 18th of May 2014.
The creation of twice Michelin-starred chef Paco Roncero, he describes the exclusive concept as a combination of food, art and technology, promising to create a ‘complete and unprecedented emotional experience’ and an ‘unparalleled gastro-sensory adventure’.
This fusion of culinary vanguard and technological innovation doesn’t come cheap, however. At £1235 a head (yes, per person), guests will indulge in a 20 course meal ‘travelling in a world of sensations from the North Pole, where they will taste a cold snack carved out by themselves from their own iceberg, to the baroque Versailles. where the subtlety and elegance of a rose will melt in their mouths’.
