The School Estate is the perfect combination between the ethnic and western cultures. Take a canoe down gentle rivers and sit in the soothing garden in your very own Indian haven whilst enjoying peppered wines and local coffee. What could be better?
Originally home to the early missionaries of Coorg, this home from home in southern India looks out onto the rugged mountains that are interspersed with coffee plantations, cardamom jungle and paddy fields making for a tranquil bolthole in the hill regions of India.
With a typical colonial feel, your room at The School Estate is homely and the perfect place to pick up our feet and unwind. Enjoy the unobtrusive hospitality and comfort as you retire to your Indian abode.
Why we like it
Although tucked away in the hills of Coorg, do as you wish, whether that be sitting back and admiring the surroundings whilst listening to the ever rhythmic songs of the birds or being a bit more adventurous. From trying your hand at fishing and conjuring your catch into a delicious delicacy, to trekking through the jungle and experiencing the culture of this majestic area on a trip to the Tibetan settlements and temples, the School Estate has it all.
