Unspoilt beaches, tradition, culture and luxurious hideaways, Bali has it all…
Beach Bali beautiful
For a healthy dose of total relaxation on your luxury Indonesian vacation, whilst also learning a few bits and pieces about the local culture, then you can’t go far wrong with Bali. Begin your Balinese adventure at Menjangan in the Bali Barat National Park on the quiet north west shore of the island. Immerse yourself in nature as you dine amongst the tree tops and look out over the lush Balinese jungle all the while enjoying the delectable cuisine the Menjangan has to offer (the seafood is out of this world). Spend a few lazy days snorkelling amongst tropical fish and pristine coral reefs and slowly begin to unwind on the soft white beaches. For the seafarers amongst you, take a snorkelling tour with the resident marine biologist who will be only too happy to teach you all about the wonders beneath you. If you prefer to stay above water and for a unique twist to your day, grab a paddle and kayak through the mangroves. Active yet relaxing (perfect justification for an indulgent lunch afterwards), this will let you see the island from a different perspective and enjoy the calm waters of the ocean before crashing on the soft white sands for a little more beach time.Read more

Next up it’s on to Uma Ubud in the cultural highlands. A perfect base for any kind of experience, this intimate bolt hole offers an amazing spa for those of you wanting to unwind and destress whilst on its very doorstep, a whole host of adrenalin inducing activities including some great white water rafting on the Ayung River. We’ll organize a private trip through the rice paddies to give you an insiders view on Indonesian culture before putting together a safari with a difference. Take a trip deep into the little known rural center of Bali, stopping en route at the Mumbal traditional market to pick up some local fruits and browse the stalls, groaning with produce. We will arrange an authentic old school VW convertible to take you on your adventure and with the wind blowing through your hair, pass through sprawling rice terraces and soaking in the views of Mount Batukaru and Agung. Dine at a traditional restaurant in the tiny village of Marga and take the chance to chat to the locals (who speak surprisingly good English). A few days in Ubud is just what’s needed to clear the mind and prepare you for a touch of hedonism by the beach.
Hole up in your own private villa at the Samaya on the idyllic Seminyak beach. Considered to be somewhat of a surfing Mecca, not to worry there are still plenty of little coves away from the breakers for a tranquil swim, Seminyak is ideal for an introductory surfing lesson or for the more experienced to show off their skills. If you ever tire of the beach there is plenty to do, including some ace bars and restaurants and lots of opportunities for some last minute retail therapy. The perfect end to your beach vacation…a cooling sea breeze and an ice cold cocktail on your verandah watching the orange Indonesian sun sink slowly below the pink horizon.
