The land of a Thousand Kasbah’s in the heart of the palm grove on a hectare of protected UNESCO land surrounded by pure natural Moroccan history stands Kasbah Azul glittered in the lush green Draa Valley. Kasbah Azul is built from natural resources in a traditional southern Moroccan style, with seven intimate suites in a romantic oasis that you wouldn’t want to leave. This is the time for you to relax, take in the beautiful surroundings and explore this gem in southern Morocco.
Palm trees and grass instantly surrounds you; however the Moroccan desert is a stone’s throw away. The Draa River (the longest river in Morocco) is to thank for this unique blend of lush green and North African desert. Kasbah Azul is a short 3km from the town of Agdz which is about an hours drive South-East from Ouarzazte, the capital of this Moroccan region which is also known as “The door to the desert”.
The seven suites are all individually styled to combine the traditional heritage with a modern Moroccan chic. Thankfully, your hostess is a trained designer so you can expect a cozy, spacious, bright and comfortable room throughout your stay at the Kasbah. Your terrace view is over the dreamy pool and gardens with the Kasbah dotted desert in the distance.
Why we like it
The diverse area of the Draa Valley is simply stunning. As you explore the area you find yourself in a traditional town half layered in palm tree bliss and the other in Moroccan desert covered with old Kasbah’s. Spend your evenings with a refreshing drink gazing up at the un-polluted un-disturbed sky, it’s truly a sight to behold.
