Le Quartier Francais

Le Quartier Français is a small, privately owned auberge situated in the world-renowned Cape Winelands. With a charming romantic atmosphere, this little gem is perfect if you’re looking for a bit of privacy with a touch of friendly South African service, and some serious wining and dining.

Tucked away in the sleepy village of Franschhoek, in the heart of South Africa’s winelands, you’ll be spoilt for choice with some of the best restaurants in the country found here. The achingly cool city of Cape Town can be reached within an hours drive, along with its stunning beaches, and must see attractions.

Your room

The Auberge rooms are all individually styled with Provençal character, along with subtle modern touches and cozy log fires. All rooms come equipped with under floor heating, flat screen TV’s and a DVD player, as well as high speed Internet. The rooms offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.

Why we like it

Serious foodies will love The Tasting Room, featured in The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants 2005-2009 (Restaurant Magazine UK). Sample Head Chef Margot Janse’s creations such as roasted wildebeest sirloin or orange and buttermilk cannelloni. An inspiring gastronomic experience.

We also love the exclusive cinema, The Screening Room where you can recline in the comfort of the soft leather chairs, whilst sipping a local wine, and enjoying your complimentary movie, from old time classics to cinema nouveau. And of course the spa is a must if it’s a bit of pampering your after, The Treatment Room Spa has a range of aromatherapy experiences for you to indulge in, all using 100% natural Decleor products. Perfect.
