Grab your wellies and get into the true spirit of the British countryside at this luxurious and rustic inn.
Welcome to the fly fishing capital of the world. Hampshire’s River Test is where the sport was born and the green valleys and fields are riddled with rivers and crystal clear chalk streams brimming with brown trout. Snug in the quaint parish of St Mary Bourne, The Bourne Valley Inn offers the ideal fisherman’s hideaway. If fish isn’t your thing, then there’s the glorious rolling green and surrounding meadows to explore, and for Downton Abbey fans, the stunning Highclere Castle is just 25 minutes down the road.
There’s more than a hint of rustic farmstead to this beautiful inn. Recently renovated, the inn now boasts an enormous and beautifully elegant barn and the country cottage theme runs throughout. Each of the nine bright rooms exude country charm with a contemporary twist mixing industrial lamps, flat screen TVs and a luxurious gold, cream and pale green color scheme. We love the ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs which come in the form of small blackboards complete with chalk to write on.
