A short transfer from the airport, The Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa will be your base for the week. Your first day will be spent settling yourself at this luxury resort that embodies the classic glamour of The Palm Beaches, whilst ensuring that you experience thoroughly modern hospitality. Relax in the Si Spa or enjoy the seemingly-endless beach to ensure complete-relaxation as you get ready to take on the active few days ahead. In the evening, experience your first taste of the destination at the hotel’s restaurant, 3800 Ocean.
Beneath the waves
Day two begins with breath-taking views of the sunrise across the palms from your balcony ,before you hit the waves. With several shipwrecks in the surrounding seas and reefs ranging from shallow depths to ones deeper than 80 feet, what better opportunity to don a snorkel mask and take to the ocean depths. Expect to see schools of barracuda, goliath groupers, spotted eagle rays, manatees and turtles – to name a few.
Exploring the waters is bound to have given you an appetite, and after an afternoon resting back on dry land, your car will await to take you to The Breaker’s Seafood Bar. From swimming before your eyes to fresh on your plate, indulge in some of the Atlantic Ocean’s freshest seafood in a casually, yet elegant setting, reminiscent of Old Florida.
More wonderful wildlife awaits on your third day, as you head to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary to see everything from foxes to bobcats, sandhill cranes to pelicans, hawks, and owls – many of whom have been cared for and nurtured back to health by the excellent volunteers and staff on hand.
This afternoon, head to the scenic rocky shores of Coral Cove Park. This peaceful sanctuary is the perfect place to take a leisurely hike. Hope for high tides and high winds to make tonight’s dinner at classic Palm Beach institution, Ta-Boo all the more rewarding and delicious.
With 17 of the top 25 ranked courses in all South Florida right in The Palm Beaches’ backyard, it would be criminal not to play at least one round of golf. Spend your fourth day at the newly renovated PGA National Resort & Spa, taking your pick of world-class golf courses. Regardless of the outcome of your game, the relaxing spa awaits to soothe your wearied limbs.
This evening, indulge in Chef Clay Conley’s innovative take on modern American cuisine with a meal at the exquisite Buccan Restaurant, celebrating your win or drowning your sorrows with plenty of moreish cocktails.
Be sure to awake early on your final morning for one last beautiful sunrise before you tuck into another extensive Singer Island breakfast. A trip to the Grassy Waters Preserve, a 23- square mile wetlands ecozystem, will provide the perfect ending to a trip that has showcased some of the very best of the area’s wildlife and natural terrain. Head back to Singer Island for one last swim beneath the swaying palms – until next time, that is.
