This seven-night vacation is the right mix of adventure, culture and relaxation and is the perfect introduction to exploring South America.

You’ll start your tour of Argentina off in Buenos Aires, one of our favorite cities anywhere, where our team of expert guides will let you in on the best-hidden gems. Then we’ll take you south to Bariloche, one of Argentina’s most beautiful regions hidden in the middle of the Patagonian mountains. Here, you’ll kayak, hike and bike your way around this stunning wilderness with expert guides in tow as you bring the geography of Argentina to life. You’ll get a true sense of wilderness in this unique, luxury family adventure.

The best places to visit in Argentina: Buenos Aires

Landing in Buenos Aires, you’ll start your family vacation in Argentina exploring the vibrant city before heading off into the wilds. From the airport, you’ll be transferred to the Four Seasons Buenos Aires, where complete with swimming pool, you’ll have the perfect city refuge. With so much to see in the city, you’ll head on a quintessentially Argentina tour with Black Tomato’s knowledgeable team of guides, starting with two of Argentina’s greatest passions – food and Tango. You’ll enjoy a hands-on cooking class where your family will learn to make tasty empanadas and try varieties of Helados, Argentina’s take on ice-cream. At night, we’ll then arrange for you to grab dinner and a Tango show. For budding dancers, we can also arrange lessons for the whole family.

For the next couple of days, we’ll show you the best of the city on a private tour according to the age and interests of your family. We’ll visit the best graffiti murals in La Boca and offer you and the family the chance to meet with a local Fileteado artist who will commission your own piece of custom-made art. A historic style recognized by UNESCO as part of Argentina’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, Fileteado uses a playful combination of colors, letters, and lines to offer an insight into the creative soul of La Boca.

From Buenos Aires you’ll make the short two-hour flight down to Bariloche, Argentina’s epic Lake District set in the northern region of Patagonia. We’ll then whisk you to the peaceful retreat of Villa Beluno, your base for the next four nights. Set on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, it’s the perfect family-friendly base for a range of exciting outdoor activities. Surrounded by nothing but pristine nature you can do as little or as much as you desire. We recommend getting out on the lake with a private guide and enjoying a kayaking adventure where you’ll split off in a scenic and secluded location for a picnic lunch.
