Hiking across Perito Moreno

Movement was everything. And now it’s everything again.

A message from our founders, Tom, James, and Matt

The world has felt like a very small place over the past fourteen months. But now the wheels are turning. And the walls are falling away.

During these past months, it has felt truly exciting to make contact again; to speak to those we’ve been cut off from for far too long. And it’s been doubly exciting to send those same people away on their first trips after months of lockdown and closed horizons. Even the little things, like packing lists and plane tickets, are now tinged with excitement. Movement was everything. And now it’s everything again.

“Like a comet and its tail, we’ve gathered a universe of people and expertise around us.”

When we founded Black Tomato in 2005, it was with the intention of becoming your travel advisor. To be there for you; and to help you navigate this, our massive and beautifully complicated world. The modern age is an age of travel. And it’s been our joy to help people through its myriad options and possibilities. This has always been our lodestar. It still is.

Like a comet and its tail, we’ve gathered a universe of people and expertise around us. Every day, we help travellers like you to book a trip that you’ll remember forever. We’ve been doing it. We’re still doing it. And we’ve helped you cut to the quick, always asking what you actually want from it. We’ve used our years of expertise to help you experience the trips you truly deserve, avoiding problems both big and small. And Covid-19 is perhaps the biggest we’ve faced. But that too will pass. And throughout, we’re proud that we’ve never stopped fighting. We’ve helped you see the world. And that hasn’t changed. To Santorini. To Reykjavik. And soon, into the entire world.
