Can you describe your favorite place in the area?
I love Duck Pass Trail; it follows a series of spectacular alpine lakes and meadows through the John Muir wilderness. It’s stunning.
What’s your best time of year here?
I think October is the best time to visit because it’s lovely and quiet.
Where serves the best breakfast?
Tom’s Place. It’s authentic and delicious – and it has great views.

Mammoth Brewing Company, an award-winning local brewery that’s been going for about 20 years.
If we can only see one thing in Mammoth Lakes, what should it be?
Definitely Devils Postpile. It’s a good hike and an iconic site in the area. Hiking is one of the most popular activities here. I also think the loop around Convict Lake is a beautiful walk.
