Alternatively, today we can arrange for you and your family to take their geography class to the next level. For an exclusive experience, you can visit the \u00der\u00edhn\u00fakagigur Volcano and see exactly what goes on beneath the earth\u2019s surface. Scientists have recently opened up a lift that will take a lucky few 120 meters beneath the surface of the earth into the giant magma chamber of the dormant volcano, where you\u2019ll be treated to amazing views and insight into the natural world.<\/p>\n

Views fit for the gods<\/h2>\n

Today, after a hearty breakfast you\u2019ll be met by your guide and SuperJeep as you take on the most popular hiking destinations in Iceland. Named after the Norse god Thor, \u00de\u00f3rsm\u00f6rk stands as one of the most popular destinations amongst hikers, and for good reason too. From hiking on mountains and glaciers to Jeep tours and mountain biking, you\u2019ll enjoy an exhilarating day out with \u00de\u00f3rsm\u00f6rk offering a range of different family tours that will leave you spoilt for choice. At the end of your tour, you\u2019ll head to Torfhus Retreat, for a cosy and luxurious stay where you take a dip in the hot tub keeping eyes peeled for the Northern Lights. If you wish to make a grand entrance we can arrange for a private helicopter to whisk you from your hotel over the infamous Eyjafjallaj\u00f6kull Volcano before being dropped off in \u00de\u00f3rsm\u00f6rk canyon, so you can see these incredible landscapes from the skies.<\/p>\n

Glacial discoveries<\/h2>\n

The following day it\u2019s time to grab your hiking boots and get ready to experience what walking on ice is like with your own private naturalist guide. With a lesson in ice walking, you\u2019ll be ready to head onto the S\u00f3lheimaj\u00f6kull glacier (a part of the M\u00fdrdalsj\u00f6kull glacier) on the south coast of Iceland and experience one of the world\u2019s most unique environments, filled with caves and crevasses perfect for budding explorers.<\/p>\n

After a day exploring Langjokull glacier by snowmobile, you\u2019ll then head out in your SuperJeep on a tour of the Golden Circle. Your first stop will be the Thingvellir National Park, followed by the active Geysir Hot Spring Area that will reveal exploding geysers. The last stop on this Iceland family tour will be the incredible Gullfoss \u201cGolden Waterfall\u201d, which will leave you feeling mesmerised and truly inspired by Mother Nature.<\/p>\n

The next day then unveils one of the most phenomenal experiences you can do in Iceland with kids.
