Originally a private residence, this magnificent country house hotel has been converted into one of the most desirable places to stay in Scotland. 17 bedrooms boast beautifully unique interiors, designed to blend in with the gorgeous countryside scenery and sprawling grounds provide enough activities to keep you sufficiently enthralled with everything from white-water rafting to off-road driving experiences.<\/p>\n<h2>Location<\/h2>\n<p>Set amidst the West Highlands outside of Inverness, Inverlochy Castle is placed amongst the sublime Scottish mountain ranges and the Great Glen valleys. A three-hour drive from the international airport in Edinburgh, Inverlochy Castle is a real taste of rural luxury.<\/p>\n<h2>Your Room<\/h2>\n<p>Staying in one of the 17 bedrooms at Inverlochy Castle, you get a real sense of its history. Lying back on the finest Egyptian cottons and looking out over the castle&#8217;s private loch, you can&#8217;t help but imagine yourself a great Scottish aristocrat. For something a touch more private, the hotel also offers a two-bedroom Gate Lodge at the entrance to the castle, with stunning views of Ben Nevis mountain.<\/p>\n<h2>Why we like it<\/h2>\n<p>We mean it when we say the attention is most certainly in the detail for Inverlochy Castle \u2013 the dining room furniture was actually a gift from the King of Norway.
