The 23 rooms featured over six double story cubic houses built on pontoons are a testament to Swedish ingenuity and forward-thinking design. Suspended over the water and surrounded by crisp modern interiors, this is more of an experience than simply a place to rest your head at night.<\/p>\n<h2>location<\/h2>\n<p>Set at the shoreline of the island of Kl\u00e4desholmen, north of Gothenburg on the western side of Tj\u00f6rn, the surroundings here are pretty idyllic.\u00a0 Sitting out on the Bohuslan\u2019s outer archipelago, approximately 1 hour from Gothenburg airport, the location is both a world away from home and yet still easily accessible as part of a long weekend city break.<\/p>\n<h2>your room<\/h2>\n<p>The interiors here are light and airy with weathered wood features and granite flooring providing a rustic take on modern Scandinavian design. Each room has its own entrance with access to an outdoor seating area to enjoy the sea air. However for an even better view, and a bit of a suntan, head upstairs and relax on the rooftop deck. If soaking in a Jacuzzi on a private roof is more your thing, check into the hotel\u2019s only suite and enjoy the stillness of the ocean in your own private outdoor setting.<\/p>\n<h2>why we like it<\/h2>\n<p>Being a true Scandinavian hotel there is obviously a sauna, but this is not your typical hotbox. The world\u2019s first floating sauna, this particular part of the hotel had been designed as a miniature replica of the bigger building and rests on a detachable catamaran complete with dining room and upstairs sleeping area.
