Spend your first night acclimatising to your surroundings whilst holed up at the Arusha Coffee Lodge, set amongst the largest coffee crop plantation in Tanzania, before being whisked away to Arusha Airport and transported to the glorious Serengeti Safari Camp in the Serengeti National Park.<\/p>\n<h2>Room with a view<\/h2>\n<p>Miles from anywhere, and with binoculars in hand, get ready to experience one of the greatest wildlife shows in Africa; sure to make you feel like one of the last great pioneers. Spend your first few nights shaded amongst trees in one of their six spacious, rustic tented suites, designed to blend in with the natural habitat. Perched in the Serengeti National Park, the canopy of acacias and tamarinds surrounding the camp provide both shade and food for a plethora of wildlife, meaning great viewing spots from the comfort of your own veranda. This quintessential East African haven will have migration herds at your doorstep. You will not be able to turn your head without spotting vast herds of buffalo, crocs, hippos, elephants, lions and leopards. And as the sun sets, unwind with a cool glass of wine before heading to your elegant candlelit dinner.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Cheeky monkeys<\/h2>\n<p>Having sampled your first fantastic taste of the Tanzanian way of life, a short plane hop takes you to Greystoke Mahale; set on a far-flung beach along the eastern shore of crystal clear Lake Tanganyika. With the world\u2019s largest known population of chimpanzees; approximately 1000 inhabiting the national park, Greystoke is the ultimate destination to observe and connect with these primates in their natural habitat.\u00a0For those looking for a little more, we can think of nothing better than a gentle hike in the forest up to one of the many waterfalls &#8211; with a dip in one of the ice-cold rock pools to top it all off.<\/p>\n<h2>Heaven on the sands<\/h2>\n<p>We loved spending our days kayaking along the shore, doing a little impromptu\u00a0fishing and\u00a0taking a dhow trip at sunset for some hippo spotting.
