Yes, the journey from Fez to Marrakech is long, but the trip itself is beautiful. \u00a0After a day passing though stunning scenery, stretch your legs and take in your first views of Marrakech as dusk begins to set in. You can never spend too many days exploring Morocco\u2019s Medinas, and Marrakech has one of the most enchanting. The cobbled streets are home to endless stalls cooking mouth-watering tagines and tradesmen selling anything from carpets to lanterns, whilst the snake charmers will mesmerise (or terrify). The following day, you\u2019ll be keen to get out into the wider landscapes, so a trip into the high Atlas Mountains for a stroll amongst the peaks is in order. Walking in the Moroccan sunshine will certainly work up an appetite, so be sure to stop off for lunch at Berber Lodge and fuel up on some hearty cuisine before heading back down in your 4X4.<\/p>\n
Day seven will see you transferred to the charming fishing town of Essaouria. Here you\u2019ll be greeted by the fresh sea air and coastal breeze and a town boasting beautiful art and woodcraft. Known as Africa\u2019s Wind city, this is not your usual beach stop off, but the white washed buildings and relaxed atmosphere certainly makes up for it. Take advantage of the high winds and learn to windsurf in the Atlantic, or for the foodies amongst you, this is the perfect town to explore Morocco\u2019s selection of fresh seafood.
