As part of the development of Nayara, huge emphasis has been placed on reforestation after the land was cleared decades ago for grazing. Now, inch by inch, the rainforest is slowly reclaiming this corner of Costa Rica. As part of this effort, towering Cecropia trees have been planted all around the property with the goal of establishing this as a safe sanctuary for the area’s resident sloth population.
