Sat in the typical Rajasthan village of Narlai this 17<sup>th<\/sup> Century fortress has been restored to its full splendor and is now host to 25 exotically decorated rooms. The hotel\u2019s warm and inviting atmosphere combined with the charm of the area means it\u2019s the perfect spot for those who want to explore the luxurious delights of India off the beaten track.<\/p>\n<h2>Location<\/h2>\n<p>The town is situated midway between Jodhpur and Udaipur; fly to either and Rawla Narlai is a short three hour drive away. The hotel itself is sat atop a hillside overlooking a famed 350ft granite rock, dotted with caves and temples.\u00a0 The statue of the white elephant sits on top, acting as a guardian to the open desert on one side and the crumbling Aravali hills on the other. We can\u2019t think of a better base to start exploring from.<\/p>\n<h2>Your room<\/h2>\n<p>The comfortable, modern suites are designed to blend in with the ancient ways of Narlai. Think sumptuous low lying beds, hand painted gold images on the walls and colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Traditional huge wooden doors open up onto your own private terrace too; the perfect spot to admire the stunning views.<\/p>\n<h2>Why we like it?<\/h2>\n<p>We love that the Rawla Narlai is so steeped in history and has retained its ancient charisma.
