Exploring the show\u2019s brooding locations \u2013 Amalfi, Atrani, Capri, Naples, Rome, and Venice \u2013 you\u2019ll see Italy . Cliffside villas wrapped in wisteria, Ferragamo designer shoes, Baroque palaces, and Caravaggio masterpieces. This is a life worth killing for. Fortunately, unlike Ripley, you won\u2019t need to.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Episode 1 \u2013 An arrival in Amalfi<\/h2>\n

\u201cYeah. That\u2019s right. Dickie Greenleaf. It\u2019s nice to meet you\u201d<\/p>\n

Touching down in Naples, you\u2019ll be met by your private driver who will take you along the Campania shoreline to your hotel, Anantara Convento di Amalfi. Built into the cliffside, this 13th-century monastery offers an initial taste of Dickie Greenleaf\u2019s \u201chigh life\u201d. Light-filled suites with lemon groves and terrace jacuzzies, an award-winning spa and cliffside restaurant. You can see why Tom Ripley was so enchanted (and so envious).<\/p>\n

The following day, you\u2019ll explore the historic center of Amalfi with your expert local guide. Here, you\u2019ll discover Giotto-style frescoes, Arabian arches, and its striking 13th-century cathedral and cloister before heading to the enchanting village of Atrani, where Tom Ripley first meets Dickie Greenleaf. Here, you\u2019ll breathe in the views from S. Maria Maddalena\u2019s panoramic terrace before lunching beneath the lemon trees and looking out to sea. Learning about the history of the Church of S. Salvatore de Birecto, you\u2019ll explore a past (and place) where \u201cdoges\u201d, Amalfi\u2019s historic maritime authorities, were crowned.<\/p>\n

The scene is set, but the story is just beginning.<\/p>\n

\"Atrani.<\/a><\/p>\n

Episode 2 \u2013 Capri and chiaroscuro<\/h2>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re free of me now, and I of you\u201d<\/p>\n

Honesty is the best policy (sometimes). Charmed by Tom Ripley\u2019s apparent sincerity in revealing his father\u2019s scheme, Dickie invites him to his villa. And you\u2019ll follow suit.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll take you on a private boat excursion along the Amalfi Coast to the iconic (and enchanting) island of Capri, the filming location for Dickie\u2019s elegant seaside residence. Accompanied by your expert local guide, you\u2019ll spend the day wandering between marinas and villas draped in wisteria, exploring hidden coves, and dipping and diving in the tranquil clear waters of the Mediterranean. And, unlike Dickie, you\u2019ll come back.<\/p>\n

Stealing Dickie\u2019s identity (and his personal effects), Tom says farewell to Amalfi, and the adventure continues. While the show\u2019s protagonist heads straight for Rome, you\u2019ll be stopping off at Naples instead. Specifically, in the neighbourhood of Rione Sanit\u00e0: the filming location for the magnificent exterior of Tom Ripley\u2019s hotel, Baroque Palazzo San Felice. Here you\u2019ll explore Ripley\u2019s obsession with the renowned Italian artist, Caravaggio. After admiring \u201cThe Seven Works of Mercy\u201d at the church of Pio Monte della Misericordia, the same painting Tom and Dickie visited soon after meeting. It\u2019s now that you\u2019ll hop aboard the high-speed train to your next destination: Rome, the eternal city.<\/p>\n

Episode 3 \u2013 when in Rome…<\/h2>\n

\u201cHis Rolex. His clothes. His Ferragamos. What else have you got, Tom?\u201d<\/p>\n

Arriving in Rome, Ripley begins his new life in luxury. And so will you.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be met by your private driver who will take you to Via Condotti, the city\u2019s fashion-fanatical hub. Here, you\u2019ll find Portrait Roma (your new home) positioned right above the Salvatore Ferragamo flagship store (a favorite of Dickie\u2019s, and later, Ripley\u2019s).<\/p>\n

At this point, Tom\u2019s true identity may be a mystery. But his reason for choosing Rome is not. As you wander between palazzo art galleries, Baroque churches, expresso bars, and Via Margutta\u2019s couture ateliers, we can\u2019t help but think you\u2019ll agree. Setting off with your expert guide, you\u2019ll explore the historic heart of the city; discovering the Trevi and so-called \u201cleaky boat\u201d fountains and the dome-shaped Pantheon, sampling crema (\u201ccustard\u201d) gelato and climbing the Spanish Steps.<\/p>\n

Then, we\u2019ll take you to San Luigi dei Francesi. At the top of Ripley\u2019s to-do list the moment he arrives in Rome; this ornate church boasts three works by Caravaggio. . When night begins to fall, you\u2019ll zip through the city in the vintage model of Fiat 500 seen in the show; watching as ancient wonders like the Colosseum and Imperial Forums glow under spotlights. Under the cover of darkness, you\u2019ll follow a similar route to Ripley\u2019s nighttime dash in Freddie\u2019s Fiat. Only you won\u2019t be covering up a murder.<\/p>\n

Before you set off on your next adventure, we\u2019ll take you to Ferragamo\u2019s prestigious boutique store. Accompanied by a fashion expert, you\u2019ll learn about the story of Ferragamo\u2019s to-die-for designer shoes (just like Dickie\u2019s own).<\/p>\n

Episode 4 \u2013 The plot thickens<\/h2>\n

Leaving Rome behind, you\u2019ll board the high-speed train to Venice \u2013 your final destination. Arriving in the \u201ccity of water\u201d, your private driver will take you to the heart of the historic center \u2013 and your hotel, Palazzo Venart. A beautifully restored residence of Venetian nobility, just like the one Tom rents in the show, here relaxation is the order of the day. Unwind in the hotel\u2019s enchanting garden, walk along its private pier over the Grand Canal, or sample the tasting menu at the two Michelin star Glam restaurant. Like Tom, you\u2019ll soon find yourself embracing the ways of Venetian high society.<\/p>\n

Following in his footsteps, you\u2019ll head out to explore with your local guide. Learning about the history of Piazza San Marco (or \u201cthe most elegant drawing room in Europe\u201d, as dubbed by Napoleon), you\u2019ll marvel at the dazzling golden medieval mosaics of St Mark\u2019s Basilica. Then, just like Ripley, you\u2019ll take a seat (and a coffee) under the historic arches of Caff\u00e9 Florian \u2013 where merchants, nobility, and artists have met, gossiped and plotted for centuries.<\/p>\n

Later, you\u2019ll visit the 18th-century Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. Alongside an expert guide, you\u2019ll discover a dazzling collection of 20th-century masterpieces, exploring the former residence (now museum) of the American collector and heiress, Peggy Guggenheim. Mirroring the final location in the show, you\u2019ll enjoy an exclusive evening meal at Scala Contarini del Bovolo. Climbing the Gothic spiral staircase of this iconic palazzo, you\u2019ll reach the spectacular \u201cBelvedere\u201d terrace.
