You’ll be in the heart of Patagonia when you settle in at the Lodge at Valle Chacabuco. A lodge of classic luxury that boasts a beautiful design; the 6 bedroom stone building was inspired by Yosemite’s Ahwahnee Lodge and old Patagonian Estancias with the clear connection between them making for an incredible structure. It’s always a good sign when your accommodations is as incredible as your Patagonian surroundings, right?
The Lodge, as the name may suggest, is located in the Chacabuco Valley, on the doorstep of the Southern Andes. It’s little wonder that this building is eco-friendly; all you need to do is look outside to understand why there has been a focus on preserving this beautiful area. Yes, the Lodge is luxurious, but it’s what lies beyond the walls, out in these protected lands (all 600,000 acres of them), that you’ll inevitably be traveling to Chacabuco for. Brimming with indigenous wildlife like deer and pumas and home to endless hiking trails, the location of this eco-lodge is second to none for the outdoor explorers amongst you.
The Lodge has six bedrooms, so we’d recommend traveling with family or friends and hiring the place out for a few days of intrepid exploration. The beauty of this Lodge lies in its simplicity. The profusion of dark woods and large stone fireplaces ensure you’ll feel cozy whilst the grand dining room and views out over the plains beyond will remind you just how luxurious and unique this building is.
