An enchanting mix of remote nature reserves and vibrant cities, a luxury vacation to this country is one of our best kept secrets. Often overlooked in favor of its southern companion, a trip to Scotland is for those craving authenticity and a breath of the wild. With the help of our experts and on-site liaisons, your time in Scotland will include castles, mountains, an insiders look at the up-and-coming art scene, and – if you’re lucky – a Loch Ness monster spotting.

Scotland is home to over 700 islands, but our favorites sit on the jagged and secluded west coast of the country. This cluster of far-flung islands are littered with medieval castles, quaint cottages, white-sand beaches, and alluring landscapes. Our luxury tours of the inner and outer Herbides include seaside villages, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a disproportionate amount of five-star meals, and private boat excursions.

Top Locations in Scotland

If we were asked to choose our top three places in Scotland, we’d go for these.
Edinburgh in Scotland

Edinburgh

Bohemian, quirky and incredibly down-to-earth.

Every Scot you speak with will likely agree that Edinburgh is breathtakingly beautiful all year round – whether there’s a soft layer of snow on the castle or bursts of green ivy creeping up city walls. However, in August when the sun is shining and Fringe festival-goers are chortling in the streets, Edinburgh truly comes to life. Alongside Fringe, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes center stage, with performers from around the world showcasing their choreographed music and dance – think bag pipes, drums, battle tunes and fireworks. It’s an evening not to be missed, so give us the nod and we’ll get you front row seats.

Isle of Skye, Scotland

Isle of Skye

Scotland’s most famous Hebride – and rightly so.

A land of rugged mountain peaks, mystical seascapes and isolated bothys; journeying around the otherworldy terrain of Skye is a feast for the senses. In Staffin uncover prehistoric dinosaur footprints, at the Old Man of Storr listen to tales of Scottish folklore, in Portree gorge on freshly caught seafood and on the Isle of Rona spy on seals basking. For your very own history lesson, we’ll introduce you to our friend and local guide in Portree before setting sail aboard a private chartered 40-foot catamaran in pursuit of the Isle of Rona. Once in Rona, discover the 14th century chapel of ‘An Teampull’ and the dramatic Church Cave.

Cairngorms, Scotland

The Cairngorms

The place to bag a munro.

Home to ancient forests, iconic wildlife and some of the UK’s highest peaks, the Cairngorms are one of Scotland’s most special and cared for landscapes. And with 55 of Scotland’s 282 munros (or peaks) located in the Cairngorms, ‘bagging a munro’ is obligatory when visiting this beautiful area. Accompanied by an expert mountain guide to help reach the summit, you couldn’t be in safer hands as you take on the vast peaks – at your own pace of course. Back on the ground at the sublime Fife Arms, you’ll be rewarded with a freshly prepared Scottish dinner and a tumbler (or two) of local whiskey.
