Great Britain moves through more landscapes, cultures, and characters per mile than almost anywhere else. England shifts from London’s private collections and Michelin-starred dining rooms to the Cotswolds, Cornwall’s coastline, and the Lake District’s fells. Scotland goes further — Edinburgh’s layered history, the Highlands’ silence, Skye’s jagged ridgeline, and whisky distilleries where the archivist will open bottles that aren’t on any list. Northern Ireland brings the Causeway Coast, the Antrim Glens, and Belfast’s quietly extraordinary food scene.
Two or three of these in a single trip is entirely possible — and often the best version of a luxury UK vacation. England and Scotland combine naturally, with or without the train. Add Northern Ireland and a short hop from Edinburgh or Manchester completes the circuit. Whatever draws you here, we’ll build it around how you want the trip to feel.
We’ve been designing bespoke Great Britain vacations since 2005, and our specialists know the difference between the hotels that photograph well and the ones that actually deliver. We know the private experiences that aren’t bookable without a relationship — the pre-opening tours, the closed distilleries, the Highland estates where the gamekeeper has been there for forty years. Every itinerary is built from scratch around who’s travelling, what matters to you, and how much time you have. Whether that’s a week in Scotland or a multi-country circuit, we handle everything.
England and Scotland connect easily — by train along the east coast, by car through the Borders, or by private vehicle with stops along the way. Add Northern Ireland and a short flight from Edinburgh or Manchester opens up the Causeway Coast, the Antrim Glens, and Belfast. We handle all the routing, transfers, and logistics so the trip flows between countries rather than feeling like separate itineraries stitched together.
One of the things that makes Great Britain unlike almost anywhere else for luxury travel is the caliber of the places you can stay in. Not just hotels — actual castles, working estates, manor houses, and Highland lodges where the building is half the experience. The Fife Arms in Braemar. Thyme in the Cotswolds. Belmond Le Manoir in Oxfordshire. Gleneagles in Perthshire. We know these properties from the inside — which rooms, which season, which experiences only happen when you’re a known guest rather than a booking. That context is what turns a good trip into an exceptional one.
London is extraordinary — but some of our favorite UK trips are defined by what happens after it. The Jurassic Coast at low tide with a marine biologist. A private falconry lesson on a Perthshire estate. An evening on the Antrim Coast where the basalt columns catch the last light and the nearest other person is a long way off. These are the experiences that stay with people. We design every UK trip knowing that the unexpected detail — the one you didn’t know to ask for — is usually what makes it. Tell us what you’re drawn to and we’ll find the version of it that no guidebook has thought to mention.
England
Despite its compact size, England is bursting with natural landscapes, urban cities and rich history. Far from London City’s Michelin-star food scene and designer fashion, Cornwall on the southwest coast serves up an entirely different perspective on the country. Littered with beautiful blue bays, surfing spots, pasty shops and elegant spas, Cornwall is an untrodden zone of Riviera-like relaxation.
Ireland
Ireland – the Emerald Isle – welcomes adventurous travellers; from Game of Thrones superfans to Guinness aficionados (you might be both). From the bustling cities of Belfast, Dublin and Galway to the vast landscapes of County Kerry and Donegal, Ireland is fills the lungs and the imagination alike. Teaming with friendly locals and a convivial atmosphere, the unspoilt scenery in Ireland makes for the perfect countryside experience.
Scotland
Loch Ness monster spotting, medieval castles, whiskey tasting and Hebridean Island hopping; our trips to Scotland are the perfect urban-meets-rural escape. In elegant Edinburgh you’ll wander the grand old streets of the Royal Mile before checking out dramatic views of Arthur’s Seat – the city’s personal mountain.

For a single country — England or Scotland on its own — ten days to two weeks gives you enough time to move between regions without feeling rushed. If you’re combining two or three, two weeks is the minimum to do them justice; three weeks is the sweet spot for a proper circuit. We also design shorter breaks — five or six days in Scotland, a focused long week in London and the Cotswolds — for clients with less time. Your specialist will structure the itinerary around your dates rather than a fixed template.
Yes, and it’s often the most rewarding approach. England and Scotland pair naturally — by train along the east coast, by car through the Borders, or by private vehicle with stops along the way. Northern Ireland connects easily via a short flight from Edinburgh or Manchester, opening up the Causeway Coast, Giant’s Causeway, and Belfast. We handle all the routing, transfers, and logistics so the trip flows rather than feeling like a series of separate itineraries.
For Scotland, late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September) offer the best combination of weather, long daylight hours, and fewer crowds — the Highlands in August are spectacular but busier. England is at its best from May to September for outdoor activities, though London is excellent year-round. Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast is dramatic in any season; spring and early autumn are the quietest and most atmospheric. We factor seasonality into every itinerary and some of our best UK trips deliberately target shoulder season when the estates are quieter and the experiences more personal.
The access. We’ve been working with the same guides, estates, and private collections in Great Britain since 2005, and that history opens doors that straightforward booking doesn’t. A pre-opening tour of a national collection. A distillery tasting with the archivist rather than the standard visitor experience. A Highland game drive with a keeper whose family has managed that land for generations. These are the elements we build into itineraries not because they’re impressive on paper but because they change how a trip feels. Every UK vacation we design is built from scratch — no templates, no packages.
Luxury UK vacations typically start from around $7,000 per person, rising for multi-country itineraries, private vehicle hire throughout, and stays at the most exclusive estates and castle hotels. Scotland and Northern Ireland tend to come in at slightly lower cost than England for equivalent quality of experience. We price every trip individually based on your dates, group size, accommodation preferences, and the experiences you want to include — and there are no planning fees.
